About Dr. Chantal Gabriel

Chantal Gabriel, MD is the Medical Director of Doctors Place Inc. and its national occupational-health division, WorkOccMed. As an FMCSA-certified medical examiner, she is listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and is qualified to perform and certify DOT physicals for commercial drivers.

Dr. Gabriel founded Doctors Place to make high-quality occupational and employer health services accessible to drivers, employers, and safety managers — first in New Jersey, and now nationwide through the WorkOccMed platform. Her focus is on the exams that keep workforces compliant and safe: DOT physicals, drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment and fitness-for-duty screenings, and return-to-duty evaluations.

She oversees the clinical standards behind every WorkOccMed order and personally reviews the educational content in our resource center to ensure it reflects current FMCSA, DOT, and occupational-medicine guidance.

Our Clinical Review Process

WorkOccMed is a physician-led platform. That means:

• Certified examiners only. DOT physicals are performed by FMCSA-certified medical examiners at every one of our 15,000+ partner sites.
• MRO-reviewed testing. Drug test results are verified by a Medical Review Officer before they are reported.
• Physician-reviewed education. Every guide in our resource center is reviewed by a certified medical examiner for accuracy against current regulations.
• Standards, not shortcuts. We make ordering fast and convenient — but the clinical bar never moves.
